The Scarsdale Community Mens Shed was approached to Repair a Fernery to it's former glory.
Assessment was carried out, planning and agreement with the owner was concluded and then it all happened!
What is a trip into town without the prospect of a snag in bread?
It was a beautiful clear and sunny Friday. Quite warm conditions.
A band of enthusiastic Scarsdale Community Men's Shed members turned up at the Scarsdale Town Hall to carry out Improvement Works.
The outside work saw a large concrete pad laid just outside the Northern Side door. This centre piece was put to good use during the Australia Day Breakfast where the BBQ and serving table was set up for an enthusiastic crowd.
Also included in the works were a number of substantial Shed made benches ( go Charlie!) that were painted and sealed using Marine Grade varnish.
Many people were spied relaxing on these benches and enjoying their yummy breakfast..
If you have the opportunity, stop off as you drive by and admire the work.
A take on an old favourite
